HARVEST oh it was so much fun!

our annual HARVEST retreat took place this past fall at howell nature and conference center
and a great time was had by all!

we had some amazing food, great laughs and all learned new and fun art projects.

it had been a warm and beautiful week leading up to the day of retreat
and then it got cold and spritzy rain all day
but that did not dampen our spirits at all

enjoy some of our fun moments !

we stayed at one of the oldest retreat buildings
it had a lot of character and the view was amazing
huge decks on the back of the building , leading down to the lake
too cold to swim or canoe that day though

some of the girls going on their nature walk scavenger hunt
we later made stretched canvas art out of what they found
amazing art pieces were created by all

i think dale might have found a treasure on the boat docks
or she was out there on a dare...not sure which!

stories and laughter were shared around the firepit all day long
(seriously i have no idea where i was or what i was doing while all this was going on)

working hard on their nature walk art pieces

smile ladies!

kristy with her latest book release !

hard at work fluffing her wreath

lots of amazing wreaths made this day

all so pretty and awesome!

we hope you join us for our next gathering april 23-24
again at howell nature and conference center
this time we will be at the biggest lodge
lots of amazing things planned for you there!

we came up with this little montage of what we do
we hope you enjoy it!

HARVEST 2015 is coming so soon!

Oh my gosh!
it has been way too long since we have posted on this blog
so busy with everyday life and getting HARVEST 2015 planned!

Once again we have pulled out all the stops for you
This year we will be at The Howell Nature Center in Howell, Michigan
Join us on October 3 starting at 11am
Lots of fun art planned, and you do NOT have to be an artist
Such yummy food we have planned for all, us Gypsies have thought of a perfect menu
Great laughs and all sorts of extra curricular activities for you there too
Zip lining is being planned by many who are attending

We have two options this year, a one day event in which you begin at 11am
and stay until you want to go home, after the arts and crafts and planned events
are over we will be enjoying a pizza party and bonfire. All are welcome to stay for that!

The two day event, is in addition to the one day , there will be a sleepover
some great fun and laughs are already in the works for that.
Past attendees are all ready with a karaoke machine and all types of slumber party snacks are winging their way to the retreat.
In the morning we will enjoy a quick and simple breakfast, and the rest is still being planned out!

Harvest Retreat 2014 ~ Mackinac Island

what another great retreat we all just had
held on the beautiful mackinac island in michigan
we would like to thank little luxuries for their generous gift to us
everyone loved their gifts and you gals are most awesome
thank you so much

check out their store for amazing items
many of them michigan themed!

our retreat this time was held at the beautiful
stunning views, great food and wonderful service
i defiantly would like to return here
at least on vacation!

we began our adventure the night before with a meet and greet
wines of michigan, a great variety of beers and sodas
as well as a delicious cheese and cracker spread with yummy fruit

morning of retreat began with a little meditation
the ladies all received some great swag bags
everything was hand made

our first project was a wreath
here is kristy with her finished one
everyone made such awesome wreaths, all totally different from each other

our next project we made tie dye silk scarves with sharpie markers
we headed out to the front lawn of the resort to spray with rubbing alcohol
to get the tie dye effect

it was a great team effort with the wind blowing like made
but we did it and they all turned out great

a great panoramic shot of us all with our scarves blowing in the wind!

our final project of the day was to make a journal
we deconstructed and reconstructed a composition book
to create a one of a kind book for everyone

thank you to everyone who attended!
i hope you had a wonderful time

a special thanks to nicole nation and pat driscoll of mission point resort
you ladies were fantastic and we could not have done this without you!
